    Diy Tips And Tricks

I know the DIY recipe thread is thriving but it has kind of gone off the track of actually recipes and more towards tips or flavorings so I thought it may be a good idea to separate them. While having a tip to go with a specific recipe is a must (ie add flavor X before adding flavor Y), general tips we have learned along the way may be helpful to keep separate. Whether the tip be about mixing, flavoring/liquid %s or certain supplies you use (and why) may be useful on its own I will start with something I learned today!! When dealing with flavorings, check around to see what the recommended % you should use is!! Flavoring vendors may have this information on their site or you may have to go looking but not all flavors work at the recommended 10-20% range!! Example: TPA Spearmint at 15% will make you want to stop vaping instantly!! (no lie) The recommended % is 5% as noted on the website!! And it worked the best at 3%!! Always research or ask if you are not familiar with a flavoring!! Anyone think this would be useful?? Edited for horrible spelling!!

  3. Ironic that this should come down on December 7th, which since 1941 was marked as a day remembered in infamy. This time the american people get to be happy winners, instead of blown up survivors.

  4. Sure thing! WASHINGTON—A U.S. federal appeals court in a decision Tuesday found that as long as electronic cigarettes aren't marketed as a way to treat or cure a disease, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has no authority to block the importation of the battery-powered products. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled that the FDA's powers are limited when it comes to regulating e-cigarettes. The FDA had appealed a federal judge's ruling that the agency doesn't have the authority to regulate electronic cigarettes. In a case that tests the reach of the federal government's regulatory powers, the FDA said it does have the authority to regulate some products containing nicotine as though they are drugs and devices, such as nicotine patches and nicotine lollipops. In January, U.S. District Judge Richard J. Leon sided with electronic-cigarette makers Smoking Everywhere Inc. and NJoy in finding that the FDA has no authority to regulate the products and can't stop them from entering the country. His opinion came with a preliminary injunction that allowed Smoking Everywhere and NJoy to continue importing their products into the country. The FDA has seized shipments of electronic cigarettes, which contain nicotine and look and taste like cigarettes but don't contain tar, amid concerns the products were being marketed as safer alternatives to traditional tobacco. The FDA asserted its power by saying the electronic cigarettes were essentially drugs or devices that were being imported without FDA approval. Regulating the products as drugs or devices means the companies would have to conduct extensive clinical safety testing and apply for formal FDA approval. Smoking Everywhere and NJoy are trying to avoid that. The companies say their products are used for recreation and, unlike nicotine patches, aren't used as smoking cessation aids. Judge Leon's decision was based on a Supreme Court case decided in 2000 called FDA v. Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. In that case, the court decided that allowing cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products to be marketed as drugs or devices would result in their being banned from the market. That case "leaves the FDA without jurisdiction over these products under the FDCA's [Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act] drug/device provisions," the appeals court said in Tuesday's decision.

  5. Yeah just hold more and only with the cart. I was disapointed by these because of that. Otherwise they are the same old atty. I would go for Low resistance or LR attys. They rock! I do wonder about eGo mega attys cause they seem to actually be bigger...anybody know if they actually hold more with no cart?

  6. Congrats on making through to this point. Many people have started vaping and never picked up another cigarette since day one. As for me, it's been a battle. I started two years ago at Christmas time and fought with it for over a year. In fact I went back to smoking after only a few months with my first PV. It was one of those mall kiosk types and really didn't work well at giving me what I needed. Then this past January I started again in earnest and haven't had a real analog in 325 days. That's not to say that I haven't had serious cravings, I have, and still do from time to time. But now I just tell myself that I've gone this long without one, and I start vaping a little harder, and the craving goes away and I'm just left enjoying the vape. The biggest thing for you is to not force yourself. If you need to have an analog that's fine. It's not going to make things any worse and in time you'll find that you'd rather be vaping than smoking. And maybe for you those cravings will just go away like they have for so many others. Smoking is a hard habit to stop. I know! After 40+ years for me to go this long without a cigarette is a real miracle. And will happen for you too. Just don't beat yourself up over it. Let you and your body work this out and it WILL happen. Good luck and happy vaping.

    Low Resistant Cartomizers?

Of course, I will agree with Dayvape here...only thing, you may have some problems with low resistance on just a standard 510 battery. The battery life is fairly short to begin with, and supporting LR on something of that size may give you problems. I personally have tried it on my 510 batteries, and remember getting about a 30 min battery life with the LR BOGE 2.0 ohm cartos. Other than battery life, I'm not sure if there are any other negative aspects to using a lr atty or carto on a 510 due to the way it drains the battery, so hopefully someone with a little more knowledge on that can chime in. Hope this helps, and congrats on your new kit!
